Among the highlights are the ever-effusive Glenn’s praise for starting quarterback Josh Vander Maten. Glenn told the Lincoln Journal Star that Vander Maten was the fastest player on the team, so there’s that.

I remember voting the Coyotes in my Top 25 last year when they beat Southern Utah to improve to 4-2. Then they finished 6-5 amid grumblings that they should’ve been better. Glenn could be stepping into a great situation: USD is a talented squad that could be on the verge of being great.

It sounds somehow familiar.
