We could’ve had 2 in a row
Colt Anderson was recently voted the Philadelphia Eagles’ special teams player of the year by his coaches and teammates – this despite missing the last four games with a torn ACL suffered at Seattle on Dec. 1.
The Butte Missile is still deserving, and his injury was bad on several levels. For one thing several Missoulians had made the trip to Seattle to see him play — including one Michael Heinbach — and for another he seemed to be building support for a Pro Bowl bid as special teams player for the NFC. Now he’s recovering and rehabilitating, and I think more good things are in store. Maybe he and fellow Griz Marc Mariani (Pro Bowl a year ago) can both earn bids next season.
